Ingredients

  • 🍣2 salmon fillets, 6oz each
  • 🥦1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • 🫒2 tbsp olive oil
  • 🧄1 tsp garlic powder
  • 🌶️½ tsp paprika
  • 🧂¼ tsp black pepper
  • 🧂½ tsp salt
  • 🍋1 lemon, half sliced, half for juice
  • 🌿 fresh dill, for garnish

Pro tips

  • Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure even roasting of the asparagus and salmon.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon for 15-30 minutes before baking.
  • Adjust baking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets; thinner fillets will cook faster.

Method

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2Toss asparagus with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper on the baking sheet.
  3. 3Pat salmon fillets dry. In a small bowl, mix remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the salmon fillets. Place salmon on the same baking sheet as the asparagus.
  5. 5Arrange lemon slices over the salmon.
  6. 6Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and asparagus is tender-crisp.
  7. 7Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the cooked salmon and asparagus. Garnish with fresh dill, if desired.
