Ingredients
- 🍣2 salmon fillets, 6oz each
- 🥦1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 🫒2 tbsp olive oil
- 🧄1 tsp garlic powder
- 🌶️½ tsp paprika
- 🧂¼ tsp black pepper
- 🧂½ tsp salt
- 🍋1 lemon, half sliced, half for juice
- 🌿 fresh dill, for garnish
Pro tips
- Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure even roasting of the asparagus and salmon.
- For extra flavor, marinate the salmon for 15-30 minutes before baking.
- Adjust baking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets; thinner fillets will cook faster.
Method
- 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2Toss asparagus with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper on the baking sheet.
- 3Pat salmon fillets dry. In a small bowl, mix remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- 4Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the salmon fillets. Place salmon on the same baking sheet as the asparagus.
- 5Arrange lemon slices over the salmon.
- 6Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and asparagus is tender-crisp.
- 7Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the cooked salmon and asparagus. Garnish with fresh dill, if desired.
