  • 🌿500 g frozen edamame pods
  • 🧂½ tsp sea salt

Pro tips

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder or a drizzle of sesame oil after cooking.
  • Do not overcook the edamame; they should retain a slight bite.
  • Leftover cooked edamame can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Method

  1. 1Bring a medium pot of water to a rolling boil.
  2. 2Add the frozen edamame pods to the boiling water.
  3. 3Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the pods are tender-crisp and bright green.
  4. 4Drain the edamame pods thoroughly in a colander.
  5. 5Transfer the drained edamame to a serving bowl and sprinkle with sea salt, tossing to coat evenly.
  6. 6Serve warm and enjoy by popping the beans out of the pods.
