- 🧄½ tsp garlic powder
- 🧅¼ tsp onion powder
- 🌶️¼ tsp red pepper flakes
- 🧂½ tsp salt
- 🌶️¼ tsp black pepper
- 🥥1 tbsp coconut oil
Pro tips
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- These patties can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
- Reheat cooked patties in a skillet or microwave until warmed through.
Method
- 1In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, dried sage, dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- 2Using your hands, thoroughly mix the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
- 3Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a flat patty, about 1/2 inch thick.
- 4Heat the coconut oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- 5Once hot, add the patties to the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
- 6Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through with an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- 7Remove the cooked patties from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess fat.
- 8Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade keto breakfast sausage!
