Pro tips
- For extra heat, add a dash of your favorite hot sauce along with the soy sauce.
- Ensure edamame is thoroughly drained to prevent a watery sauce.
- Don't overcook the edamame; it should still have a slight bite.
Method
- 1Cook the frozen edamame according to package directions, usually by boiling or steaming for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- 2While edamame cooks, heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- 3Add minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and paprika to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 4Drain the cooked edamame well and add it to the skillet with the spice mixture.
- 5Stir in the soy sauce, lime juice, and sea salt, tossing to coat the edamame evenly.
- 6Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the edamame to warm through.
- 7Remove from heat, transfer to a serving bowl, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
