  • 🌻1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 🧄2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 🌶️1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 🌶️½ tsp paprika
  • 🍶1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 🍋1 tbsp lime juice
  • 🧂¼ tsp sea salt
  • sesame seeds sesame seeds, for garnish

Pro tips

  • For extra heat, add a dash of your favorite hot sauce along with the soy sauce.
  • Ensure edamame is thoroughly drained to prevent a watery sauce.
  • Don't overcook the edamame; it should still have a slight bite.

Method

  1. 1Cook the frozen edamame according to package directions, usually by boiling or steaming for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  2. 2While edamame cooks, heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  3. 3Add minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and paprika to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. 4Drain the cooked edamame well and add it to the skillet with the spice mixture.
  5. 5Stir in the soy sauce, lime juice, and sea salt, tossing to coat the edamame evenly.
  6. 6Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the edamame to warm through.
  7. 7Remove from heat, transfer to a serving bowl, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
