Ingredients

  • 🐟2 cans tuna in water, drained
  • 🥬½ cup celery, finely chopped
  • 🧅¼ cup red onion, finely diced
  • 🥚¼ cup light mayonnaise
  • 🍯1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 🌿1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 🍋1 tsp lemon juice
  • 🌶️½ tsp black pepper
  • 🧂¼ tsp salt
  • 🥬8 large lettuce leaves (butter or romaine)

Pro tips

  • For extra crunch, add finely chopped bell peppers or carrots to the tuna salad.
  • If you prefer a creamier texture, add a spoonful of Greek yogurt along with the mayonnaise.
  • To make it spicier, a pinch of red pepper flakes can be added to the mix.
  • These wraps are best eaten fresh, but the tuna salad can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Method

  1. 1Drain the canned tuna thoroughly and place it in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. 2Add the finely chopped celery and red onion to the bowl with the tuna.
  3. 3Stir in the light mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  4. 4Mix all ingredients well until combined and the tuna is flaked to your preference.
  5. 5Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to your liking.
  6. 6Wash and thoroughly dry the large lettuce leaves, ensuring they are crisp.
  7. 7Spoon the tuna salad mixture evenly into the center of each lettuce leaf.
  8. 8Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh, healthy tuna salad lettuce wraps.
